PBI

PBI is today's most high-end engineering thermoplastic. Because of its superior performance, PBI may find the best solution in areas that other

Main features:

The maximum allowable use temperature in the air is extremely high, and it can work continuously at 310°C, and the short-term maximum use temperature can reach 500°C.

Excellent mechanical strength and rigidity retention, and a wide operating temperature range.

Excellent wear and friction properties.

Very low linear thermal expansion coefficient.

Excellent resistance to high-energy radiation (γ-rays and X-rays).

Inherent low flammability.

High purity in ion-contaminated environment.

Low exhaust (dry material).

Good electrical insulation.

Application of PBI:

Usually used to manufacture extremely demanding components to reduce maintenance and repair costs and have the longest service life. Established application areas include semiconductor and aerospace industries, incandescent or fluorescent high-temperature contacts, such as vacuum cups, push fingers and holders, electrical contactors, etc. The disadvantage is that the ability to withstand high temperature steam is insufficient, and the performance is reduced after absorbing moisture.
